Every Monday, I'll share music that I like, has been a significant part of my life, or simply feels good to me. I call this Song Appreciation Monday (or SAM, in short), and I hope you'll appreciate these songs and music too!
I shared an old dance hit last week, but in case I start to give off an old vibe to my readers (๐), I decided to share something new this week. Today's song is from a recently ended Korean drama, Miss Night and Day. The drama is a comedy, romance and mystery all rolled into one; it's about a 28-year-old lady who turns into a 50-year-old during the daytime.
Believe it or not, many years ago, I wasn't a fan of Korean pop culture. I found K-pop "noisy," and I didn't understand why people could spend hours chasing K-drama series. It wasn't until my best friend introduced me to the Korean variety show Running Man that I started gaining exposure to Korean pop culture, especially K-pop. Twelve years later, I still look forward to catching the latest episode of Running Man.
The first K-drama I watched was Squid Game. I only learnt about the show after hearing a lot of buzz about it. I got curious and decided to give it a go. And yes, I got addicted to the show and embarked on an endless adventure of K-dramas afterwards!
Miss Night and Day is my latest catch. Although the show was a little disappointing as it got draggy halfway through, I still had a good laugh at several moments of the show. It was funny to see the Ajumma (middle-aged woman in Korean) lead behaving like a Gen Z, especially when she danced to the song "Lucky Charm"!

Yup! "Lucky Charm" by BOYNEXTDOOR is the song I want to share for SAM #2. It's a refreshing song that, together with the Ajumma Lee Jung-eun's dance in the show, brings a big smile to your face as you groove to the music. I definitely feel a lot younger after listening to the song! Here's the song's music video...
โ
Share your thoughts on the song, or let me know if you've watched the show!
